BOTOX VS DYSPORT
Cosmetic muscle relaxers will make you look fresher, healthier, and more youthful. Understanding the differences between Botox and Dysport is important so you can make the best decision for yourself and your outcome.
These two wrinkle-smoothing products are botulinum toxin A, a derived protein that works by relaxing targeted muscles. Both products smooth fine lines and wrinkles without interfering with your natural expression and are used to relax horizontal lines on the forehead, vertical frown lines between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet, however, they are dosed differently.
Dysport is found to work a little faster than Botox, about 5 to 7 days as opposed to the usual 7 to 10 days for Botox. Dysport also tends to disperse into a wider area, which makes it an ideal treatment for areas such as the forehead but not an ideal for other areas, like around the eyes. At Newtown MediSpa, we use Botox about 80-90% of the time and have found that it produces more consistent results.
